Cream Candy

Cream Candy comes from the Cross Country Cookery cookbook.

The recipe itself is from Mrs. Sarah Davis, Como, Miss. who said this is a delicious candy. She also suggested that if the pecans are omitted and 3 cup coconut added, you have delicious coconut candy!

Cream Candy

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 cup white karo
  • 1 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 quart pecans chopped

Instructions

  1. Blend sugar, karo, and cream. Cook to soft ball stage.
  2. Add salt, vanilla, pecans. Beat until creamy. Drop by spoonful on waxed paper.
  3. Store in airtight container.
