If you’re looking for a fancy way to serve rice as an accompaniment for
My mother gave me a set of the old My Great Recipes cards many years ago and I used to make the celery rice ring for her. This year marked the 10th anniversary of her being killed. I miss her so much. I lost the card set moving to Wyoming and wanted to make the rice ring as a way of remembering all the great times we shared. Would if be possible to get the recipe from you?
You’ve got it, Debra! Best wishes and blessings to you as you prepare the celery rice ring the next time.

- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
In large bowl, combine rice, celery, 2 tablespoons of the parsley, pecans, onions, and green pepper.
Stir in eggs and melted butter until well blended. Add milk, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg, mixing thoroughly. Pour into 5-6 cup ring mold.
