Creamed Celery Supreme
Servings 6 servings
Ingredients
- 4 cup celery sliced
- 1/4 cup oleo
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 lb mushrooms
- 2 green onions thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoon flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 1 cup half and half
- 1 cup tiny green peas
- 1 2 oz jar pimento drained and chopped
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds toasted
Instructions

Place celery and chicken broth in sauce pan. Cover. Heat to boiling. Lower heat and cook 5 min till celery is tender crisp. Set aside.

In skillet, saute sliced mushrooms and onions in oleo. Blend in flour, salt, and pepper. Add half and half. Cook till thick and smooth. Add rest of ingredients. Top with almonds. Bake 20-30 min at 350.
