Candy Date Roll

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dates pitted
  • 1/2 cup pet milk
  • 2 cups nuts chopped
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Cook sugar, dates, and milk until mixture forms a soft ball when placed in cold water.
  2. Remove from fire and cool til lukewarm.
  3. Add nuts and butter.
  4. Beat until thick and entirely cold.
  5. Turn on board dusted with powdered sugar and knead until it will mold well.
  6. Roll into about a 1 inch cylinder or roll.
  7. Let stand 24 hours. Slice when wanted.
