Here’s one of the most popular requests – Korean Bulgogi.
This sounds incredibly simple and really tasty; I definitely love the flavor of sesame.
Many thanks to Brenda who sent me these cards. You rock!
- 1 pound beef sirloin
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1/4 cup green onions chopped
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- green pepper slices
Slice beef against the grain into 1/4-inch slices that are 2-3 inches long.
Stir together sugar, soy sauce, oil, sesame seeds, green onions, garlic, and black pepper. Add the meat. Toss until all pieces are coated. Cover and marinate 1-2 hours at room temperature or 4 or more hours refrigerated.
Place strips 1-inch apart on racks, then broil or barbecue 1 minute on each side. Serve immediately garnished with green pepper slices.
Use beef sirloin or flank seak
Use 1 clove garlic or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Good served with hot rice, tomato salad, stir-fried vegetables. The beef strips can also be served as an appetizer.
Tip For easier slicing, place beef in freezer for 30 minutes. Be sure to cut across the grain so the meat will be tender when cooked.
