California Lemonade is a fine, long drink for a sizzling summer day; bran muffins fresh from the oven will add to your appreciation of the lemonade. This is Card 56 from the 2 in 1 International Recipe Card Collection.
Try Salmon-Avocado Wraps as an accompaniment. Slice avocado thinly lengthwise, wrap with thinly sliced strips of smoked salmon. Place on a platter and sprinkle with lemon juice and capers.

Honey Bran Muffins
Ingredients
- 1 cup all bran cereal
- 1 cup skim milk
- 1 egg
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400.

Place cereal in mixing bowl; add milk and stir. Let stand 5 minutes. Add egg, oil, and honey.

In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to bran mixture; stir well.

Spoon batter evenly into 12 greased muffin cups. Bake 25-30 minutes or until puffed and golden. Serve warm.

Cocktail Muffin variation: Follow above, but spoon batter into 24 small muffin cups. Bake 15-18 minutes.
