Cream Candy comes from the Cross Country Cookery cookbook.
The recipe itself is from Mrs. Sarah Davis, Como, Miss. who said this is a delicious candy. She also suggested that if the pecans are omitted and 3 cup coconut added, you have delicious coconut candy!
- 4 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 1/2 cup white karo
- 1 1/2 cup cream
- 1 quart pecans chopped
Blend sugar, karo, and cream. Cook to soft ball stage.
Add salt, vanilla, pecans. Beat until creamy. Drop by spoonful on waxed paper.
Store in airtight container.
