Stuffed Cherries

When cherries are in season, here is a delightful way to serve them: stuffed with cream cheese, toasted almonds, and grated orange rind.

This recipe for stuffed cherries comes from Cross Country Cookery.

Stuffed Cherries

Ingredients

  • 1 lb bing cherries
  • 1 3 oz pkg cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup almonds chopped and toasted
  • 1 tablespoon light cream
  • 1 tablespoon orange rind grated

Instructions

  1. Remove stems and pits from cherries. Set aside.
  2. Combine cream cheese, almonds, cream, and rind.
  3. Stuff cherries using a #4 plain tube and a pastry bag.
  4. Garnish a fruit salad, or fold some into cherry-flavored gelatin mold.
